THE DR SYLVIA A. EARLE COLLECTION
Dr Sylvia A. Earle is the founder of global conservation organisation Mission Blue, who has also been recognised as a Living Legend by the US Library of Congress and was the first person to be named 'Hero for the Planet' by Time Magazine. Known often as "Her Deepness," her life and work are an inspiration.
THE HELEN SCALES COLLECTION
Dr Helen Scales is a marine biologist, writer, and broadcaster. She writes lovely books that explore the living wonders of the ocean. She writes for National Geographic Magazine and the Guardian, teaches at Cambridge University and is a storytelling ambassador for the Save Our Seas Foundation.
THE JACQUES-YVES COUSTEAU COLLECTION
Jacques-Yves Cousteau (1910 to 1997) was a French naval officer, ocean explorer, and co-inventor of the Aqua-Lung, known for his extensive undersea exploration. In 1943, Cousteau and French engineer Émile Gagnan developed the first fully automatic compressed-air scuba apparatus, which allowed divers to swim freely underwater for extended periods of time. He became a filmmaker, a researcher, an author and a passionate conservationist.
